Very friendly staff with quick service. I had the yummy pumpkin tea pancakes with maple sauce. We will definitely visit again!

Heard how this place was supposed to be great. Only open for breakfast until tourist season.
It was just OK, not bad, not great! Ham n cheese omelette was small and salty, bfast potatoes okay. Hess Benedict was cooked right through, potato's we're okay. Service was fine, waitress efficient but lacked any interaction personality. But hey it was early! -

So, again with the conundrum: do you judge a place on its absolute value (ranked against all placed you have ever eaten), or on comparables to other restaurants in the vicinity? I don't see much value in doing the former. It does me no good to hear how a place in Montreal has far better crepes, if I am looking for breakfast in Windham, ME.
That said, this place has a pretty good breakfast, for the area. Parking is often terrible, the crowd on weekends can be a challenge, and nothing you get here will likely be the best of its kind you have ever eaten, but you will get a consistently well-prepared traditional breakfast - not as common a find as it once was. They also have an extensive hash list, a few Benny choices and a small lunch menu.
If you are in the area, looking for this particular experience, it's pretty much the only game in town (there are other breakfast places, but not traditional "morning diner" settings and offerings). The coffee is basic and standard (read: not great), but at least it's never-ending. I have never walked out of here regretting my visit. Yes, I'm at the point where not ever regretting my visit warrants a 4-star review. As food prices go up, so do expectations, which is what tends to throw off the way I approach deciding the value of my dining experience. -

This place has pretty good eggs Benedict, and the second-best donuts* I've ever eaten. The only real gripe that I have about this place is that the drinking water tastes kinda weird (although that might be from the cheap plastic drinking glasses they serve it in). The service varies depending on who your waiter/waitress is, their mood, how busy the place is, et cetera.
*Because I know you're all wondering about where THE BEST donuts are, they're at the Bacchanal Breakfast Buffet at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, NV. But let's face it--who's really going to travel across an entire continent just for a donut?
